What a sin, this should been a great episode with former COMBAT star Vic Morrow (who would become the most famous in his life after his tragic on-set death), and he plays one of two warring Unions, in particular he's the guy who really looks like the killer as every episode of DAN AUGUST has an opening where one and only one person could have possibly done the crime, kind of like a sculpting process of chiseling down what's obvious into an actual truth of who the real killer is, and Morrow plays the obvious culprit i.e. The wrong man here, only the whole Union story-line isn't genuine and looks like it's trying for gangster cinema cliches.. making Burt Reynolds and Norman Fell seem like they're investigating a b-movie instead of a murder.
