"I thought with my looks I could become a media darling" Alison proclaims when she reveals that she was responsible for sending former boss and lover business tycoon Barry Binsford (Jerry Lacy) to prison. Now he's out for secret revenge, but not in the way she expects. That involves a wedding and a surprise guest, and a call from Julia to a much-maligned businessman what is the highlight of the show. It's obvious that the Thomasons are using this as a platform to ridicule someone very famous, and that piece of humor will go off only if you have the same feelings they do, but it's still an excellent piece of writing regardless of the ramifications. The idea of Alison emulating Miss Haveshim from "Great Expectations' is a nice touch.

Weakest Episode of Season 6
kgraovac26 June 2022
Another episode that tries to give more backstory on Allison but is sorely lacking in humor or wit. Also, we haven't known the character long enough to be invested in this type of story. Even back in Season 1, they waited until the end of the season to craft an episode around one of Suzanne's exes.
This one is probably most memorable for Julia's phone call to Donald Trump which closes the episode. Still, it's not one of Julia's better "terminations". It's installments like this that don't do Allison or Julia Duffy any favors. This may be the low point of the season.
