Introducing the infamous Reggie Mac.
mark.waltz16 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Danny Thomason, whose picture was seen in an earlier episode where Suzanne's financial agent ran off with her money, comes on as the infamous Reggie Mac, now working as a bellman and piano player at the hotel bar. Suzanne confronts him and he tries to come up with all sorts of stories, eventually settling on the fact that he has bought her a circus. The flamboyant Reggie Mac could pretty much sell a naive person the Brooklyn Bridge with the way that he sells Suzanne on the circus, making them all feel guilty thinking badly of him.

This is one of those episodes that completely puts aside social significance for something fun, flamboyant and just plain silly. There are lots of unique props, little people and animal noises utilized here, including Suzanne's circus queen outfit. While this certainly makes Suzanne and the other woman seem a bit gullible, Reggie Mac is so convincing in his enthusiasm. Thomason sort of resembles Leslie Jordan who would later be paired as the rival of the Suzanne knockoff Karen Walker of "Will & Grace" fame. A colorful episode that may not be the greatest show on earth but is one of the most amusing of the series.
