- Dharma invests in a clothing company and loses her shirt, so she asks newly-retired Edward to help her turn the company around. Kitty becomes angry when Edward starts spending all his time there.
- Edward is miserable in retirement, no more work or purpose, just dragged along by Kitty, who feels her best years finally started. Dharma made Greg give her a stock investment account, but was stupid enough to waste all on a tip from Larry, eDrag.com which sells dresses to men and got listed to launch itself internationally. Desperate to get something out of the dodo, she enlists management expert Edward's help to put the firm on the market. Hoping to escape such pastimes a Kitty's book club, he does a great job and enjoys life again, but Kitty explodes now Dharma has ruined her plans for Gregory and her marriage...—KGF Vissers
- Greg rather reluctantly gives Dharma half of his on-line investment account. Greg himself had no idea about the business model of the companies that he had invested in. Dharma says that even she can do the reading and research to find good stock tips.
Dharma gets hooked when she makes a little money playing in currencies on the Japanese stock market. She takes stock tips from Edward, who warns Greg against letting this happen.
Dharma becomes obsessed with profit, even borrowing from her parents, when the slight profit turns into a slight loss, and she wants to keep all of this away from Greg. Larry says that every dollar Dharma makes in the stock market comes from a factory worker on the floor. Dharma says that she is losing money. Abby and Larry also don't want to invest in any companies destroying the environment. She unwisely follows a tip from a friend of Larry's and sinks everything into a San Francisco company that promptly sinks even further. Now Dharma owns majority stake in a company that makes women's dresses for men. They have been operating in San Francisco for 25 years and now want to leverage the internet to go Global.
When she appeals to a recently retired Edward for help, he quickly rejuvenates the business, which happens to merchandise women's fashions for men. Edward gives several practical suggestions like leasing the depreciated equipment to themselves and changing the packaging to make it more discreet and tasteful. Edward was reluctant to get engaged with the business as he is retired now, but he is willing to do anything to get away from Kitty and her demands.
He also suggests that they target big boned women as their potential customers. Edward enjoys the work and has been working late for over a month. Edward also comes up with an idea where customers can scan their photo on the internet and see firsthand how the dress would look on them before making the purchase. He launches pantyhose with a fly to help men get dressed quickly. Its part of their new line "please release me" lingerie for men.
Kitty objects that Edward's golden years were reserved for her. Dharma confronts Kitty since Edward is happy. He is organizing everything and rallying everyone to a common cause. But Kitty retorts that for 32 years Edward's work came first, and she came 2nd, but now she wants to be Edward's only priority in life. She says that she had plans for Edward and Greg, but then Dharma dropped on them like a bomb and now everything is haywire. Kitty said that in their time, Edward worked, and she waited.
Dharma admits Kitty is right and convinces Edward to enjoy his retirement with Kitty. Edward says that the company will be making profits again by the end of that month. Just then Kitty arrives and admits that she has been a tad selfish and allows Edward to work at the company. But turns out Kitty has much better fashion sense than Edward and she helps redo their new fall line. Turns out Larry is a customer as well.
