A man is found dead in an apartment. The killer is not there, but a man is found shot dead. Friday and Gannon scour the building and do a few interviews until ultimately the killer returns and tells the police that he did it.
This episode is a murder investigation. However, when the killer is found, he swears it all was a case of self-defense. BUT, for long-time fans of "Dragnet", it's obvious that the killer (Vic Perrin) is guilty! Why, because in every episode he appeared in as well as the movie (DRAGNET 1966), he is ALWAYS the killer or the psycho! He often played similar characters on other shows as well. Seeing Perrin on the show is like seeing a butler in an old-time mystery movie--you KNOW he did it simply because he's there! Why the man was killed and the real motivations are something you'll need to see for yourself.
