Friday tells Gannon to run the license on a white Dodge moments after the witness tells him she didn't know the make or license of the car.
In the opening narration Friday identifies the month of the case they are working as NOVEMBER. When looking at the photocopy of the documents they were studying with the handwriting analyst, the check date is October 1970. This episode aired in FEBRUARY 1970. That would mean that the viewers would have viewed the story NINE MONTHS BEFORE it would actually take place & would be looking into the FUTURE! This is due to the fact that when an episode in a series is filmed, it is often shown out of sequence in "real time" & apparently wasn't caught by Jack Webb or any of the production crew, at the time.
In the final scene, Friday states in the narration they checked "674" bags and found nothing. As the live audio fades in Gannon starts counting at "775" bags.
