Theodore Bikel, who plays bearded Moldavian revolutionary leader Warrick, was best known for two iconic stage roles. He was Tony nominated as Baron von Trapp in the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music, and also racked up a total of more than 2,000 appearances as Tevye in various live productions of Fiddler on the Roof.
This episode is the follow-up to the infamous Season Five finale, known derisively among Dynasty fans as "The Moldovan Massacre." Each of the principle characters who survived the terrorist attack on Amanda's wedding has at least one overly dramatic, over-the-top moment, and the audience is lead to believe that Alexis is among the deceased (even though Joan Collins' usual nearly-being-run-over-by-a-Rolls-Royce I'D is included in the opening titles). The melodramatic tone set by this episode would permeate (and undermine) the rest of the series.
Joan Collins does not appear in this episode as she was still locked in contract disputes with the show's producers.
This is the only episode in the entire series not to feature the Carrington mansion.
