When the story begins, a man traveling by RV is stopped by a security guard on a motorcycle. Everything seems pretty routine, as the officer gives the driver a note...but suddenly, the 'officer' shoots the driver and then steals something in the back of the RV. But the driver, though mortally wounded, is able to shoot the man as he flees the scene.
Ralph (Jeffrey Hunter) is now bleeding badly and in need of help, so he goes to the home of an army buddy. The buddy is a trained medic...and he patches up Ralph. Now you'd THINK Ralph would be a grateful man...but he's an evil commie spy and is willing to kill ANYONE in order to complete his mission. Can the FBI find Ralph before he kills again? And, can they recover the top secret item he stole?
In addition to Hunter, the episode also stars Richard Anderson, Cicely Tyson and Al Freeman Jr....and Freeman, in particular, is very good in the show...and much of it is due to his character being written so well. An interesting and enjoyable episode.
