Warning: Spoilers
Pretty stupid episode for the most part (unless you believe in the power of Hollywood love). SO it started nice, Tattoo and Mr Rourke just say hi, no stupid bit, and drive to the plane. (where i noticed for the first time , they are driving a long way with a overhead view of them doing so). So the one person that shows up is some Grey beard with a deaf dancing student. i wasn't paying attention much so i think she wanted to hear and i know he wanted to get with her. I mean at first i was like "Doh, its a love deaf episode" but then i let my imagination loose and imagined all the possibilities. (discalimer , non of my possiblitlites were mentioned.). So then i m day dreaming again and i catch wind of this stupid part of the episode where Rourke is talking to the deaf girl. He grabs her by the cheek (which is what you do with deaf people in the 70;s , doesn't seem politically correct now) and tells her "look into the infinity and be---..." and I'm thinking "hes going to say beyond, i saw a joke about toy story the other day and am expecting this" but he said "believe" and i was disappointed. So then the girl dances another choreographer, a younger one and we see this all the time , two dance choreographers fighting over each other for the love of a woman. We also see the predictable scene of a woman dancing with a sexually rev ed up Chorographer dancing while the competition woman dancers clap her on. so it was all fun but then she is on the beach and she cant hear any more and freaks out. So the old guy choreographer is like "musci is always there, its this and that, blah blah blay, rhythm is a dancer its a soul prancer" etc etc. So she is staring around and sees Islanders jump roping with bamboo and hears the noise in her head and is happy. I forget what happens to her, i think she goes on the Fantasy Island Dance Circuit or something like that. As the choreographer leaves, he is rewarded with a fresh, i'd say 16 year old native female who is deaf and wants to train in the states with him. seemed creepy.

Other story is a compulsive gambler who has a daughter he brought with him , ones fantasy is to win big, the others to have her daddy not gamble. Rourke and Tattoo gamble on the outcome . guess who wins. so he meets some lady, i wasn't sure were she came from, shes into him . daughter likes him. bookies show up. all crap breaks loose and i didn't care the whole time. it was pretty bad.

Very odd and uncomfortable
70s_Connoisseur21 January 2024
Two stories episode, a gambler and his young daughter. Very predictable. The odd story, a man in his late 50's brings a deaf young woman, who he raised and taught to dance, arrives with the fantasy to hear and to audition for a famous choreographer. The young woman's father figure has the hots for her, and he's trying to find to the right time to express his romantic desire for her. The young lady falls in love with the choreographer. Fast-forward to the end of the episode the young lady and the choreographer embark on a tour, leaving the old man. Mr. Rourke rewards the old man with a young, fresh 14 year old girl from the island, who is also deaf. The old man shows his excitement, like a wolf licking his chops. They leave the island together. Wow, this old goat fell in love with teenage and Mr Rourke gives this creepy guy another young teenage just entering puberty? Paging Woody Allen, paging Woody Allen.
