Beluga and the Bank
Hitchcoc3 November 2019
There are two fun plots. Niles and Frasier get caught up in contraband caviar. Martin gets a mistake in his favor at his bank ATM and finds himself on a ride to absurdity. Both dramatic pieces are really funny, causing people to act in an irrational way.

Roe to Perdition

Not only is this the best episode of 'Frasier' Series Ten, but it's also one of the best in the whole second part of the sitcoms run (Series eight to eleven) when the quality dipped significantly.

This is very funny stuff, and shows that the writers could still produce a top level episode even at this late stage of the game.

Full of lovely moments and lines, this is 'Frasier' at its brilliant best, and well deserving of the high scoring reviews it has gained here.

Even the B plot works. There's not many occasions recently when you can say that about a 'Frasier' episode, but here it's a great affair.

Top quality. And a quality too often unseen from 'Frasier' in its latter part.

Martin's ATM Adventure
NinaNatasha9 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Well actually that would be the B plot. Martin's unusual adventure at the banking machine makes for some funny scenes with Daphne. The improbable turn of events even has Daphne wondering if she should change banks. A real shot is taken at the outrageous bureaucracy of the financial industry.

The main plot with Niles and Frasier revolves around acquiring Beluga caviar for a soirée from a Russian fisherman named Petyr. Robert's Gourmet Goodies is charging $100 per ounce. Petyr offers them Caviar at $40 per ounce. I won't spoil any more but the comedic chaos is top notch.

An excellent episode from Season 10! For me this show could hang with the best from any season of Frasier's 11 season run.

Roe to Perdition is an Excellent Frasier Episode!

Warning: Spoilers
The focus of this show is Niles and Frasier obtaining fine caviar at a good price. They plan to use caviar at house party. Roz gets hooked on the Stuff - and has a few great scenes with the men. Also, Martin has trouble returning extra cash from money machine. Funny interplay at the bank with the Managers.

Bank Error In Your Favor
mattalan-8443223 April 2018
One of my favorites from Season 10...

In this episode, Frasier and Niles buy a specific kind of caviar from a Russian Mafia person, which they discover to be delicious, but once they make broad promises, their cards do not stack up. Meanwhile, Martin is schooled on karma by Daphne after an ATM gives him more money than he bargained for.

Go watch and see what happens

Roe or Caviar

Warning: Spoilers
Actually it really doesn't matter what was used in this show. This would be my favorite episode from Season 10. There were quite a few laugh out loud bits here.

Also, the absurdity of Martin trying to do the right thing and return the extra money he received through the ATM. Hard to believe his failure to return the money continued to turn into a greater windfall. That's the B-plot with Martin and Daphne.

The main plot focusses on Frasier & Niles acquiring some excellent "black-market" caviar for a classy party. Caviar at less than half the price of the retail store from a Russian boat. What could possibly go wrong? Quite a bit.

An excellent episode that would be in my personal top 10 episodes for the series.

This was fine

Warning: Spoilers
The basic plot pretty much sums up the episode. Crane boys get caviar and use it to help themselves gain access around town. Their supply gets cut off, so they have to try and get it somehow.

Martin has an error at the bank and tries to correct it. And shenanigans ensues.

I tend to use this space for my review, not the plot. But this episode...pretty much says it all. There are typical funny lines etc...but nothing to write home about.

I use rewatchability as my basis for my ratings...I'd put this at a 6. If nothing else is on, this episode is fine...but definitely not a great Frasier episode.

It's a single. Def not a homerun or triple or double. Heck...these may even be considered a walk or hit by pitch. It isn't an out...so it's at least positive.

It's not negative. Yay?

A shameful episode
wheresjohnny10 August 2021
Caviar as a "funny" metaphor for cocaine. In spite of their star's shameful history with drugs the show's big shots and writers decide to treat a junkie's drug and its addiction as a big joke. Only in Hollywood. They want to solve all the world's problems, except the ones they indulge in. On those they say nothing, until they get caught. And the show's star calls himself a "Conservative." Yeah, right...Taxi did the same type of episode. Not funny and not decent. Didn't any of the actors speak up against this episode? It should be banned and taken out of the rotation.
