One for the Money (#3.2)

Warning: Spoilers
Sophia tries to come up with a great idea to make a profitable business and the girls remember the times they tried to make other businesses. There is the story about the wedding business when the couple almost breaks up and then goes to Vegas, the time when Sophia and Dorothy wanted to make money to give each other TVs for Christmas and the dancing competition.

Another great themed episode. I especially love the dancing competition. Although you can totally see that it is not Rose when she makes her solo. But it is full of funny parts including a great ending. And the way wedding business ends is also hilarious!

Beware The Dancing Fool.

Sophia is keen to make a few quid, by selling water, tap water, the girls recount times where they have tried to make money in the past.

I am starting to love these flashback episodes, especially when they feature a younger Sophia and Blanche. This was a very good episode, one with several laughs, and the usual quality writing.

Lynnie Greene was perfectly cast as a young Dorothy, she was perfectly cast, and finally we get a chance to meet Salvadore, he's exactly as I was expecting.

The Dance scene was great, and it's always a joy to see Blanche dressed up in a sparkly frock, and she looks fabulous, the catty one liners between her and Dorothy were wonderful, the claws were definitely out.

Very funny.

8/10.

Petrillo water saves the day!

And so does Rose's cartwheels during the dance marathon. It's a "flashback" episode where the girls discuss money making ventures when Sophia tries to bottle water from the hose out back. They recall trying a catering business for a young friend's wedding, the time Sophia and Dorothy (played by Lynne Greene in the 1950's) took part time jobs to buy television sets and their entry into a dance marathon. It's a mixed bag of humorous situations, but these episodes are easily forgettable.
