"Sex and the Evans Family" opens with JJ boasting about his dating prowess, out with a different girl every night. Florida is shocked to find an essay titled 'Sexual Behavior in the Ghetto,' and wants JJ to explain it to her: "I don't know, they can't explain it in here I sure can't!" JJ suggests that it could be Michael's since he does most of the reading in the family (Michael: "is it something on black unity?" Willona: "in a way!"). James gets home from work and isn't the least bit upset about JJ's interest in the opposite sex, as 'boys will be boys.' It's quite a different story when Thelma admits that the essay belongs to her 21 year old boyfriend Eddie Conroy, played by Philip Michael Thomas ten years before Miami VICE. A controversial episode that earned accolades for the show's early days.

Warning: Spoilers
But i still will never let my teen child when she is a teen in couple years date a grown man over 18. She can wait. I love how back then some parents did say OK, but glad today that most do not approve of this. Even if Eddie played by Phillip Michael Thomas, was a nice young man and real smart. I get why JAMES was acting at first as my father grandfather act and myself. Good episode.
