Theodore Wilson's lone episode not playing Sweet Daddy Williams
kevinolzak20 December 2016
"The Comedian and the Loan Shark" was Theodore Wilson's only appearance in another role than Sweet Daddy Williams, and another example of JJ's failed career as a talent manager (first seen in "The Judy Cohen Story"). This time his client is alleged comedian Tyrone Tyler (Gary Veney), his deadpan style not exactly rib tickling, incapable of performing in between bouts of vomiting. Making matters worse is the fact that JJ borrowed $200 from a loan shark, and won't be able to pay back the loan unless Tyrone is funny. Theodore Wilson's humorous presence is the reason why this episode is a huge improvement on Judith Cohen's spotlight. Like Judith, Gary Veney never went any further than this one showcase.
