Not exactly a two-part episode in the traditional sense, but a dandy one!

Warning: Spoilers
While this is called Part 1, the second episode is only tangentially related to the first. They are really like two separate shows with a thread that ties them together. Because of this, these two shows area rare case where you can watch the second one without the first and still get just about as much out of it.

This show finds McGarrett working very late at the office--leaving at about midnight. Later that morning (about 3am), the police respond to an accident where they find a dead criminal behind the wheel of a car that crashed...and McGarrett is in the passenger seat--badly hurt. In addition to the driver being a criminal, lots of cash is found on McGarrett. Then, when Five-O investigates, they find lots of evidence that McGarrett had a double life--one where he's taken over $2,000,000 in bribes. However, because they know him so well, none of his colleagues believe he's a criminal and he was somehow set up for this. However, piecing it all together will take time as well as a trip to Switzerland to investigate the bank accounts where all this supposedly illegal money is hidden.

What's it all about? Did McGarrett turn bad? Who is behind all this? tune in and see. You'll enjoy a very solid episode with a really cool finale. While it isn't always believable, it's always entertaining and is one of the best shows of the series. Too bad part 2 isn't nearly as good.
