Still photos from this episode have created a mystery over the years. In the scene in which the Mertz's, Mrs. Trumbull's, Pete the Grocer, and Lucy dressed as Marilyn Monroe all try to audition for the movie, there was originally another character trying to audition too. In the script there was a neighborhood boy named Jimmy O'Malley whose mother calls Lucy telling her that her son sings the song "Irish Eyes Are Smiling" beautifully. Lucy rebuffs her offer saying that the song doesn't fit into the movie Don Juan. Later in the audition scene Jimmy, dressed in a Spanish costume, comes into the apartment singing the song. Pictures of the scene, featuring Jimmy, have shown up in books about the series over the years, yet there are no signs of him in the episode. The stills, however, turn out to be pictures taken during the episodes dress rehearsal. Realizing the episode might run long Jimmy's character was cut from the script. Lucy's telephone exchange with Jimmy's mother is also replaced with new dialogue in which Lucy has with a friend who is also trying to get into the film.
One of the starlets listed in Variety is Yvonne De Carlo, later known to many TV viewers as Lily Munster in The Munsters (1964). When Ricky realizes that Lucy is jealous, he refers to her as the - albeit unintentionally through his accent - the "green eyed munster."
