Sam Waterston: Executive ADA Jack McCoy
Quotes
-
Jack McCoy : We can produce a paper trail on Mr. Glass's end, fabricated account statements and prospectuses which were generated by Mr. Sullivan that provide a direct link.
Nick Margolis : To Who? Patrick Sullivan or my client?
Jack McCoy : Your client and Patrick Sullivan were running this scam together.
Nick Margolis : According to Mr. Glass, who unfortunately won't be able to take the stand.
Judge Madeline Drake : Let's show a little respect for the deceased, shall we?
Nick Margolis : Even if the People could prove that Glass and Sullivan were ripping off their clients, their paper trail doesn't lead anywhere near Lorraine Dillon.
Jack McCoy : We intend to show that Ms. Dillon murdered Patrick Sullivan so as to claim the spoils of their scheme herself. Documents go to motive.
Nick Margolis : And their prejudicial effect outweighs their probative value. It does not withstand the balancing test.
Judge Madeline Drake : You've made your point, Mr. Margolis. Multiple times. Mr. McCoy, unless you can provide more of a link - documents that reference Ms. Dillon directly, an eyewitness... I won't allow evidence of fraud in at trial.

Jack McCoy : [to Benson, outside of the courthouse] You don't look satisfied.
Olivia Benson : Are you?
Jack McCoy : I think we got the right verdict.
Olivia Benson : That gun that we found in the apartment, what if it's April's?
Jack McCoy : But Lorraine took the blame.
Olivia Benson : Until April turned on her in court.
Jack McCoy : She was gasping for air. I like to think I've been doing this long enough to tell the difference between the truth and lie.
Olivia Benson : Believe me, so would I, but April still managed to fool me.
Jack McCoy : A fact which could be affecting your judgement, Detective. You could be too close on this one.
Olivia Benson : Close enough to know that we may have just been conned. That verdict put 500 grand in April's pocket.
Jack McCoy : You really think April killed Sullivan?
Olivia Benson : At the very least, I think she was an accomplice.
Jack McCoy : So, tail April till she goes for the money.
Olivia Benson : She'll wait 'till we look the other direction and slip off. April ran away when she was 14. Maybe to the same place she'd hide the money.
Jack McCoy : Well, who else was in their lives then?

Jack McCoy : Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... no deal.
