Beaver and Larry are walking to school together. Along the way, they become mesmerized by the big machine drilling a hole at a city works site. A mishap at the site with their school books and their lunch boxes and being late for school already makes Beaver and Larry think that they should just skip school altogether today. But as the lunch hour rolls around and they start to get hungry, they figure the supermarket may be the best place to get some free food samples. But what they believe is a food line-up outside the market is really a line-up to get into the set of a live local television show broadcast. While they wait for their food, Beaver and Larry just hope that no one they know is watching the show on television. At the end of it all, Beaver learns a lesson about respect.
