"The Congressman Was Indiscreet", or so the tabloids say when Congressman John Whitcomb seems to have an adulterous affair. But he's traveling under an assumed name, and he falls for Ms. Robin Brandt without realizing that she's a reporter for a tabloid magazine. "Isaac's History Lesson" is taught to him by Stephanie Hayden, an African-American educator who is writing her doctoral dissertation on Black History. She's upset by the carryings-on of African-American fellow passenger Virgil "Scattergun" Gibson because she claims his public behavior reinforces negative stereotypes. "Winner Take Love" involves five contestants competing to be the ambassadress for the cruise line. All five are supposed to be "unattached and free to travel", which could spell trouble for contestant Suzy Corbett, whose neglected fiance Rick has booked passage on the cruise. The contestants' chaperone Waldo Linden recruits choosing the initially insecure Captain Stubing to emcee when the Captain's initial success at telling jokes in public goes to his head.
