When lifting the unconscious soldier out of the tub, his head is away from the camera and is pointed toward the wall, but when he's placed on the table, he is now pointing in the opposite direction.
In the epilogue, everyone is gathered around the hot soup waiting to get some. Margaret is standing close to the soup. The camera changes to show her sitting at a table with an empty canteen cup. Charles sits next to her and gives her one of the two cups he has so she won't have to wait in line.
As stated, the temperature at the 4077 is 13 degrees Fahrenheit; however, there's no visible exhalation from the characters. This is because the series was filmed in Los Angeles, California and at Malibu State Park where the ambient temperature was not truly cold enough. One's exhalations are visible in cold temperatures due to relative humidity and the dew point, not the temperature itself.
Loretta Swit's fingernails are over an inch long. No nurse, especially a head nurse, would have fingernails that long.
Hawkeye orders a nurse to put a tube down a patient's throat and use warm dextrose and water (D&W) to warm the patient.
Normally, this process is used as a gastric lavage, which is used to wash poison out of the stomach or check stomach contents for blood, and is done with a 0.9% saline solution known as normal saline. The solution Hawkeye refers to is not that; it's referred to as D5W, which stands for Dextrose 5% in water and is not traditionally used for lavage. However, Hawkeye is using the warm solution to warm the patient, and he may want the benefit of the calories found in the dextrose.
While watching the Sonja Henie movie Sun Valley Serenade (1941), Colonel Potter says at one point, "This is supposed to be where she does a triple axel and ends up in a split." Then he has to leave and says, "Now I'll never get to see it." Someone stated "Midori Ito from Japan was the first woman to complete a triple axel in competition in 1989, and Tonya Harding was the 2nd woman to complete one and the only American woman. It is unlikely Sonja Henie ever did anything as complicated as a triple axel even with her three Olympic Gold Medals. More to the point, the action he describes does not happen in her performance in the film." The statement made by Col. Potter is simply something he said and is well within character.
It has been stated "Colonel Potter says he'll never get to see the end of "Sun Valley Serenade" due to an emergency. All he had to do was rewind the film and watch it again" as a goof.
This is not necessarily a goof as the films come from ICOR as loaners and may have to be returned. The unit does not keep them in stock and get to play them at will.
The episode is supposed to take place in the dead of winter, however, leaves are clearly visible on trees in exterior shots and there's no vapor as the characters exhale. Vapor is visible as one exhales in cold temperatures due to relative humidity and the dew point, not the temperature itself.
A doctor requests an "Ambu-bag" (a brand of resuscitation breathing mask). "Ambu" brand resuscitation masks did not exist before 1953.
There's a howling wind in numerous interior and exterior shots to emphasize the frigid wind-chill-induced temperature. However, tents aren't flapping, smoke from the chimneys is rising vertically, doors being opened aren't affected by wind, nor are hair, blankets, and clothing.
