David Main is slumming it. A working class estate is being developed by a slum landlord.
He has brought up the houses, started to move out the tenants and getting planning permission should be a formality. He has even obtained funding from the council.
Rival developers are crying foul. Edward Ransome the solicitor who used to work for Main is also against this particular developer as he builds shoddy houses.
David thinks there might be an angle over copyright over the original architects plans. Also by a rival quickly buying up the freeholds.
David and Margaret are also defending a female teacher who hit an unruly pupil who has come from one of these slums.
There is extensive footage of a working class area of a northern Yorkshire town. The kind where there were washing lines between terraced houses.
Not the kind of area that David Main usually frequents these days.
It is also an episode where David Main ties the knot with Hilary Nash. Henry Castleton who is contemplating his future with the firm insists that David goes off to his honeymoon.
There is fun to be had with Windsor Davies Yorkshire accent.
