Rob Paulsen: Max

Quotes

  • Max : Oh! Mega-gross! I'll never be able to eat an egg-salad sandwich again!

  • Max : School! What a way to ruin a perfectly good day!

  • Max : [Max burst into a police station, panicking]  Excuse me, sergeant, I have an emergency to report-now I know this may sound crazy, but zombies have taken over the city-I don't know how it happened, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my trip to Tahiti-are you listening to me man?

[He notices the officer is also a zombie]

  • Max : You hear that?

    Virgil : I don't hear anything.

    Max : Me neither-I don't like it!

  • Max's Mom : Maybe they're friendly zombies.

Max : [sarcastically]  Yeah, and they're here to give us the key to the village.

  • Max : [Max notices a strange hieroglyph on a temple wall]  mom, look at this! What does this mean?

Max's Mom : It's a zombie symbol-the hole in the body is where the soul once was. According to legend, a zombie neither lives nor dies, but exists only in limbo.

Max : Kinda like bein' in school.

  • Max's Mom : This figurine is incredible. Do you think I could possibly have it?

Virgil : Witch doctor: If you like, but I must warn you. This place is filled with evil.

Max : Mom, mom, um... I don't think it's such a good idea messing around with evil. Call it a hunch.

  • Max's Mom : I just wanted something special for the museum... I never thought it could lead to the end of civilization as we know it!

Max : It's okay, mom... it could happen to anyone!

  • Max's Mom : I don't see why we can't call professionals in to do this job.

Max : Mom, I *am* a professional. I'm the Mighty One!

Max's Mom : The more I see of this Mighty One thing, the less I like it.

  • Max : [Max finds his mom, zombified]  I hope you're not gonna take away my allowance for this, but it's for your own good, Mom!

[He whacks the zombie creature away from the back of her neck]

    Max's Mom : What's going on?

[She feels the back of her neck]

Max's Mom : Something tells me I don't wanna know.

  • Max's Mom : [Max picks up a two-by-four as a zombified witch doctor comes toward them]  What are you gonna do with that thing?

Max : I don't know, Mother. I thought I'd ask the big guy out for a game of stickball!
