On January 9th, 2024, the great singer and EUROVISION SONG CONTEST participant Mary ROOS celebrated her 75th birthday. She took part in the famous competition twice for her home country Germany. In 1972 she achieved an excellent third place in Edinburgh with ONLY LOVE LETS US LIVE. In 1984 she was there again with UPICHT GEHN in Luxembourg. Mary ROOS, who was born in Bingen am Rhein, was also a celebrated pop star in France in the 1970s.
On the occasion of her 75th birthday, we would like to remember her wonderful appearance in the first season of the MUPPET SHOW. She sang a beautiful version of "Lean On Me". The show was produced in November 1976 in London and the episode was broadcast for the first time on West German television on ZDF on April 8, 1978.
