- TriviaAnn meets a man in her doctor's office who begins to send her flowers and ask her out, which she resists at first. During one telephone conversation with him, she agrees to have lunch with him, and asks, "Do you know where I live?" Julie, who is eavesdropping, taunts her, saying, "Is the Pope Polish?" This is a variation of the old comeback "Is the Pope Catholic?", a classic mock-sarcastic reply to a statement that anyone can see is obvious. The variation is timely, as Polish Karol Josef Cardinal Wojtyla had just been elected Pope John Paul II (1978) a few months before this episode aired.

Dwayne F. Schneider: Before I go, just let me say, please always remember, and don't ever forget the great lessons we learn from ancient history: Beware of Hungarians bearing gifts.
Ann Romano: Schneider, you mean Greeks.
Dwayne F. Schneider: Greeks, Hungarians - any of those countries where the men dance together.
