Nino Tempo, who sings and plays saxophone near the beginning of this episode, had a huge hit song in the early 1960's: "Deep Purplr," assisted by his sister April, who recites the lyrics while he sings them. Anna Lee, who plays a nun here, would again play a nun in one of the biggest 1060's musicals: "Sister Margaretta" in Sound of Music.
The hot rod featured in the opening moments of this episode was built by the driver, Norm Grabowski. It was later featured in the 77 Sunset Strip series as the Kookie Car, and went on to inspire a worldwide custom car industry.
The T-bucket hot rod that tries to run Sandy down at the beginning is the same car Kookie drove in 77 Sunset Strip. The fellow driving it here is Norm Grabowski, who built and owned the car.
