I found a DVD in a bin at Menards and remembered it was entertaining when I watched it on TV.years ago. So, for $5 I got the whole season 2.
I'm making my way through the season and really enjoying it.
It is a bit over the top and sometimes a bit absurd but there are some good jokes and subtle humor. It appears to have aged well but that might be due to the fact I first watched it on TV years ago.
I like the way the show cleverly weaves some real history into the plot. The acting is good by standards at the time it was filmed. It does a good job of making it look like the time period it is occurring in.
I suspect most people could get into the story if they give it a chance.
