It's one of the best, a hilarious episode.

Rigsby places an advertisement in the lonely hearts column, next to surgical appliances, he arranges with the lucky lady who replied, to meet at a bar.

Is this the best episode of Rising Damp? For many it is, for me it's on par with Things that to bump in the night, both are original, and hilarious. This is intensely funny from start to finish, Rossiter is at his best here, the character does so much more here, he is physically funny, and delivers his lines perfectly, it's an outstanding performance.

Helen Fraser returns to the show, this time as the blushing bride, she plays her part very well, but it's her on screen mum, played by Joan Sanderson, who literally steals the episode, one of the quintessential TV battle-axes, and she doesn't disappoint, the scene between her and Rigsby is classic, one of the show's best.

When you said early 20's, I didn't think you mean 1920's, absolutely classic comedy.

Brilliant, 10/10.
