  Cal : [Beeep]  Jim, this is Cal from the Leave the Whales Alone club. Our protest cruise leaves from the pier Saturday 3pm; the whales need you, Jim!

• Evelyn 'Angel' Martin : [Jim uses Althea's car to go check at the nursing home, if he can get any more information on where the gold C.C. Calloway's looking for might be buried. Along with Jim, and Althea's, in the middle-front, is - who else? Angel]  Why'd you have to bring her along?

  Althea Morgan : [Stops laughing, momentarily]  I'm here to protect my car. That's a condition of the loan.

  [Althea starts laughing again] 

  Jim Rockford : All right, you 2 stay here.

  [Althea continues laughing] 

  Jim Rockford : I'll go in and look around.

  [Jim turns to Angel and Althea, and in an admonishing tone, says] 

  Jim Rockford : and 'stay here,' means stay here.

  [Althea bursts in to laughter , as Angel just looks at her] 

  Althea Morgan : He's really different.

  Evelyn 'Angel' Martin : He's a sucker.

  Althea Morgan : [Giggling]  Yeah, but he's a nice sucker.

• Evelyn 'Angel' Martin : [jaw drops at the sight of his totalled lemon]  Look what you did to Lucille, my '59 cherry Cad convertible. It's a collectors item!

  Jim Rockford : Yeah, you oughta collect it on fifty bucks!

  Evelyn 'Angel' Martin : You can't even get body work on it now!

• Jim Rockford : [Jim's in the Paradise Cove men's room, with C.C. Calloway, and his nephew, Cliff. Rockford's been called in to have a talk, after he mentions vaguely of his knowing why - and what - C.C.'s been doing/looking for with his metal detector. He turns to Cliff]  You know what they used to call your uncle back then? Old 'come with the cash' Calloway.

  Cliff Calloway : [Chewing gum, and trying a 'tough-guy' posture]  Hey. I ain't afraid of you mister.

  Jim Rockford : Now, what has that got to do with anything?

  Cliff Calloway : You go messin' our deal, here,

  [makes gum chewing] 

  Cliff Calloway : I might have to

  [dramatic pause] 

  Cliff Calloway : grind up your sombrero.

  Jim Rockford : [Jim looks with pity at C.C]  He's a little short on smarts, isn't he?

• Jim Rockford : Hello?

  Cliff Calloway : Rockford?

  Jim Rockford : Yea.

  Cliff Calloway : We gotta to talk. I'll be parked under the bridge next to the highway at lights out in a hour. Come alone.

  Jim Rockford : Where do you get that stuff, the Late Show? I'll see you at the Sand Castle in ten minutes.

• John McLinton : [the morning after Jim makes a huge racket, which C.C. Calloway records, Jim's feeling beat, and he's out early, walking the area, drinking coffee, as he looks at the damaged Firebird, when he bumps into the speaker of the community association, and his dog - 'Mac' - McArthur]  C.C. Will have a field day with this. Well have to have a committee meeting.

  Jim Rockford : Well, maybe you are to just put it up to about, huh? I mean, if you people want me out, maybe eight or two just leave.

  John McLinton : I don't want you to leave, Jim, neither do the rest of us. All the things wrong with you is that you're in a kind of strange business. But Mac and I like having you around.

  [Mac the dog]
