It's Lucie's turn
tforbes-215 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Two years before this episode, Desi Arnaz made an appearance on Laugh-In. This time around, it was his daughter Lucie's turn. And it's a little different here. While it may seem like Desi's outing might have come off as strange, given that it was opposite his ex- wife's show (and was so noted on that 1970 outing), Lucie Arnaz was still a cast member of "Here's Lucy." Seems remarkable, given that she was appearing on two shows on two different networks.

That said, in both instances, both father and daughter did well on the show (he in 1970, she in 1972). Lucie's bits are very funny, and she has a charming song and dance bit with Dick and Dan.

Laugh-In's look at adult entertainment was a very timely thing for 1972 (and I remember!), but by the standards of today, the attitudes seem so quaint and somewhat immature. And it shows how attitudes and the adult entertainment industry have changed.

Overall, the show seems to have hit a stride with its new routines, such as the cheerleaders. We also see a return of Gen. Bullright! Definitely a good outing!

Lucie Arnaz is the special guest star of this edition of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In"

Warning: Spoilers
A few years after Desi Arnaz appeared on an ep of "Laugh-In", his daughter Lucie does the same thing. When Desi was the guest star, his ex-wife's show "Here's Lucy" was opposite him but it moved to the time slot after "Laugh-In" by the time of Lucie guesting when she was still a cast member of her mother's show. Anyway, she's quite the trouper when either doing physical comedy or talking to the dummy Lester. And her appearance resulted in another Dan & Dick number which they first did with Sandy Duncan the previous season. Ruth Buzzi seemed a little more boisterous this ep like when she did a Gypsy Rose Lee-type strip singing "Let Me Entertain You" in front of Rowan & Martin! And that segued to "Laugh-In Salutes Adult Books and Film" that had quite a bit of hilarity this ep. Also appearing were Rich Little and Ross Martin, the latter in a running skit about being a judge at a gladiator ring. This was another funny ep of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In".
