- Upset by a hateful glance from Natasha who saw the quartet in a restaurant, Carrie loses her way and gets robbed of not just valuables but, far worse, her favorite designer sandals. When she files a report, the NYPD detective and Miranda immediately fall for each other. Now that Charlotte has lost all hope in Trey's potency, her lust wanders off to the McDougal's hunky bare-chested gardener; when her lips follow, the family accepts it, even Trey, but she can't handle this emotional neglect. When Samantha gets calls for another Sam Jones who gives a mega-party, she takes Carrie there to finds it's a virgin boy who lusts for her at first sight.—KGF Vissers
- Carrie decides, after a broad-daylight mugging, that she must clear herself of bad karma. The thief took her bag, her ring, watch and the Manolo Blahnik sandals on her feet. Carrie believes that what one does in one relationship eventually comes around and happens to yourself in a future relationship. So, relationship karma is a real thing, and she needs to clear the air with Natasha or else more bad things will continue to happen to her. Her beliefs are verified when she cannot hail a cab, and she falls down a flight of stairs (Natasha also fell down a flight of stairs while chasing Carrie).
Carrie decides she needs to talk with Natasha about her affair with Big. Just before the mugging Natasha had entered a restaurant where Carrie was eating and promptly walked out. Carrie knew Natasha was angry from the look she gave her before she left. Samantha tells Carrie that Natasha has left Big, and she is back to working for Ralph Lauren. Carrie is responsible for breaking up a marriage.
Carrie calls Natasha 7 times, but no response. Carrie meets Natasha in person by finding out where Natasha is having lunch on a particular day. Carrie apologizes for ruining her marriage. Natasha totally holds Carrie responsible for what happened. Carrie realizes that Natasha is dating again and this meant that Big was available as well.
Miranda dates a gorgeous NYPD detective Stevens (Timothy Gibbs) (the one who is assigned to investigate Carrie's mugging case) and becomes self-conscious about her own looks. Stevens is a hulk in her books, and she is really nervous around him. When Stevens comes to pick her up, Miranda has him waiting in the living room for 20 minutes, as she cannot figure out what to wear. Turns out that on dates, every woman is checking Stevens out. Miranda gets super drunk and sleeps with Stevens that night (to make her feel good about herself). Next morning Stevens leaves Miranda after giving her the number for a local AA chapter.
Trey has given up on their sex life. Unhappily married Charlotte struggles with her lust for a hunky gardener; Charlotte kisses the gardener Burt and is seen by her sister-in-law (Trey's brother's wife). The sister-in-law reveals this at cocktail hour that evening and apparently everyone is OK with it (Bunny even calls it a family tradition). Charlotte is hurt that Trey isn't even upset with this and decides to separate when they return to the city. Charlotte returns to her old apartment.
Samantha is getting many calls at her house for a Sam Jones (Jacob Pitts), who is throwing a wild party the next day. Samantha decides to attend this party to find out who this other Sam is. Samantha meets another Sam Jones, who turns out to be an NYU guy student, living in a dorm, and a desperate virgin. Sam is hopelessly smitten with Samantha and pursues her after the party. Sam has sex with Samantha in her apartment. Sam is smitten with Samantha and says I Love You to her. Samantha cuts off Sam cold turkey and he goes mad.
