Jamie Sommers:Part II
AaronCapenBanner28 May 2015
Equally exciting second of 2-part episode that introduced Lindsay Wagner as Jamie Sommers, the first bionic woman, now being sent on her first mission with her fiancée Steve Austin(Lee Majors) that involves an old case involving a counterfeiter(played by Malachi Throne). The mission is a total success, but unfortunately trouble starts when Jamie's bionics start malfunctioning, the result of her body rejecting the process. A last-ditch operation is planned to save her life, but it may already be too late... Poignant episode with fine acting and script by Kenneth Johnson("The Incredible Hulk" writer/producer) Jamie was so popular with fans that she had to come back later in a big way...

Bionic woman part 2
coltras3529 September 2023
While Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers plan their wedding, Oscar Goldman submits his bill for making Jaime Sommers a bionic woman: She is to go on her first assignment with her fiancé to switch a flawed US $20 bill printing plate for a perfect copy in the possession of a foreign counterfeiter, Joseph Ronaugh. Steve Austin vehemently objects, but Jaime Sommers acknowledges her debt and agrees. The two succeed in their mission despite a malfunction in Jaime Sommer's bionic arm which nearly causes it to fail. It is soon discovered that her body is rejecting the bionics. Dr. Rudy Wells conducts an emergency surgery to no avail. Jaime Sommers dies.

An equally satisfying part 2 as the first part with things getting a little emotional. Jaime and Austin go on a mission but afterwards Jamie's experience of her hand shaking turns into a nightmare. Her body is rejecting the bionics. A sad and touching episode but we all know that this isn't the end of the bionic woman. It's well acted by all. Lee Majors sings really well.

Best Episode ever!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This was the romantic climax for Steve Austin (Lee Majors) and Jaime Summers (Lindsay Wagner). After rekindling their love for one another, Steve proposes to Jaime and she accepts. Unfortunately, a parachute accident severely injures Jaime, and Steve tries to convince his boss, Oscar (Richard Anderson) to allow Dr. Rudy Wells (Alan Oppenheimer) to rebuild Jaime into a bionic woman. Jaime fully recovers and trains to accompany Steve on a mission. Unfortunately, her body starts to reject her bionic parts which sends her back to the hospital. Despite Dr. Wells' efforts to save her, Steve says a very emotional goodbye to Jaime. Before Steve leaves the ranch that he once bought for him and Jaime, he takes one last look at the horses that they used to ride. This was probably the most emotional episode for Lee Majors and he should have been nominated for an Emmy award for this.

A total non event.

I'm not sure why they bothered to make this 2 parter.

There's nothing to the story whatsoever. Well there is the emergence of the Bionic women but nothing really happens. It's just chugs along.

The main plot story just fizzles out and nothing happens when the Bionic couple steal things and do nothing.

Nothing is the key word to this nothing story.

It's as if the director etx thought up the Bionic women but forgot to bother with a tangible plot or anything whatsoever.

A non event.

Then again, so many of this series are non events.
