Trivia | On Hippie World, the United States lost the Battle of the Coral Sea during World War II. Consequently, Japan invaded Australia in 1942. After Germany's surrender, the Soviet Union liberated North Australia and defeated the Japanese while the Americans liberated South Australia. While the United States rebuilt their portion of Australia, the Soviet Union decided to remain in North Australia and it became a Communist state.
