While this is a true location in Massachusetts, perhaps this is a pun as "Falmouth" might sound (with a Boston accent) like "foul mouth", which her son certainly has had in recent appearances.
After Wayne explains that he still wants to get back together with Mona, Clancy says, "it's not too late for a V8". Wayne walks away and smacks his forehead. This is a reference to a 1970s-80s series of television ads for V8 Vegetable Juice where a person finishes a (non-V8) drink, then smacks their forehead in regret, and says, "I shoulda had a V8!"
