Corrigan recognizes one of the members in a deadly armed robbery gang as an old nemesis from his days in San Francisco, a creep who skated after killing a good friend of his during a high-speed pursuit. He shoots and kills the man in self-defense, only to find himself targeted by an Internal Affairs cop, who suspects that Corrigan planted a 'throwaway' gun on the dead man, a gun stolen from the SFPD evidence room. With allegations of his friend being a 'bad cop' and possibly a murderer, Hooker goes to work finding the robbers and clearing his name.
The spotlight is on Corrigan as he's accused of planting a gun on the crook he shot during a shootout. He ends up handing his badge but still determine to prove his innocence. There's some good action scenes, mainly with motorbikes - the three bikes jumping over the car is impressive.
