The comedy segment is political photos with funny captions or quotes added. Jack Lemmon comes on first and says that he is under the weather, having just returned from the East Coast; he and Johnny compare the holidays in the East to spending them in Los Angeles. Lemmon discusses being originally from Boston, and mentions that he was actually born in a hospital elevator that was stuck between floors. He and Johnny discuss their first experiences entertaining others as children. Lemmon recalls his experience directing Walter Matthau in "Kotch", but says that Matthau took the joy out of it because he could anticipate Lemmon's suggestions. A clip from their film "Buddy Buddy" is shown. Matthau then joins the conversation, and mentions that his wife warned him not to tell any toilet jokes; he tells one which he tries to clean up somewhat. He then talks about other films he's made, noting that he prefers to instigate some conflict with actors he hasn't worked with before to establish some creative tension. He describes a stunt on the new film which went badly, resulting in a serious injury which he initially feared would be fatal.
