- Following a frantic phone call about a crashed spaceship, two policemen try to determine who among the bus passengers at a snowed-in roadside diner is from another world.
- After an anonymous phone call about a spacecraft that crashed in a frozen wood, two police officers find evidence that the event really happened. Apparently one alien had walked away from the spot. They drive to the nearby highway Café and they find a bus with seven passengers waiting for the reopening of a snowed in bridge. However the driver says that he had only six passengers when he parked the bus. While interrogating the travelers, weird things happen in the diner, with the lights switching on and off and the turntable turning on and off.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- After receiving reports of a crashed UFO, two State Troopers find tracks in the snow that suggest someone - or something - might have walked away from the crash. At a nearby diner, they find seven patrons though the driver of the bus outside says he had only six passengers. The driver doesn't have a passenger manifest and they try to sort out who is who. All claim to have been passengers on the bus but it appears there's definitely an alien in the group.—garykmcd
- On a snowy, February evening, 2 troopers are called out to investigate reports of an unidentified flying object crashing into some nearby woods. Upon arriving, the men find the tops of some trees sheared off, and some ice broken in a nearby pond. One assumes that whatever caused the damage will be stuck in the frigid waters until warmer weather arrives.
Upon checking around the pond, one of them finds a set of tracks leading from the pond to a diner across the roadway. The two men follow the tracks to the diner, which contains a number of bus passengers that are stuck there until they receive word that it's okay to cross a bridge some ways ahead.
Inside the diner, the two troopers find one man operating the diner named Haley, the bus driver, and 7 other people. When they ask the driver how many people he had on his bus, he tells them 6...which means that someone in the diner was not originally on the bus. They conclude that there must be a martian somewhere in the diner, who is among those original 6 passengers.
Of the 7 persons of concern are:
A young couple named George and Connie.
An older couple named Peter and Rose
A crazy-eyed man named Avery.
A businessman in a suit named Ross.
A woman with a cigarette named Ethel.
The troopers and the persons in the diner then begin to try and figure out who is who. During their discussion, all manner of strange things happen: the jukebox in the corner starts and stops on it's own, the lights flicker, and several sugar bowls on the tables burst apart!
Eventually, a phone call is received at the diner that the bridge up ahead has been inspected, and considered in good shape to be traversed across. Still having not figured out who the martian is, the two troopers let the matter go, and after the bus loads up with people, they get in their car and guide it towards the bridge.
Some time afterward, the businessman named Ross returns to the diner. Sitting at the counter, he explains to Haley that the bridge really was unsafe, and the trooper's car and the bus both plunged into the river. Haley remarks that the man isn't even wet. As they continue to talk, a third arm suddenly comes out from under Ross' suit coat. He then explains that he isn't really named Ross, and that he is actually a scout sent from Mars, and that some other members of his race will be arriving shortly on Earth to establish a colony in the remote area.
After Ross finishes speaking, Haley then reveals that his name isn't really Haley, and that his people from Venus actually had the idea a few years previously to establish a colony on Earth. Unknown to the martian named Ross, his people have already been intercepted by the Venusians, which are on their way to Earth as well. After revealing this, Haley removes his soda-clerk hat, to reveal a third eye on his forehead.
