Though he has more lines than anyone but Robert Stack and James MacArthur, Lou Polan did not receive guest star billing.
The scene where Ed Getty, played by Neil Rosso, is shot by Eliot Ness, i.e. Robert Stack, and tumbles down the stairway to the rail station is similar to the scene in the movie The French Connection (1971) where Jimmy Doyle, i.e. Gene Hackman, shoots Pierre Nicoli, i.e. Marcel Bozzuffi, who also tumbles down the rail station stairway. Both characters were shot as they tried to escape from being arrested for illegal drug activity.
This is the second of four appearances Ned Glass makes in the series, each time playing a different role.
