No large-scale theft of US currency paper is known to have succeeded, but in 1922, several men robbed the Denver Mint of about $200,000 being loaded into an armored delivery truck just outside. Most of the money wasn't recovered, and the robbers and their accomplices were all dead or imprisoned on other charges by the time they were identified by law enforcement.
This the second of three appearances Bill Baldwin makes in the series. Here he appears in the minor role of a box office agent, but in his other two appearances, he plays the role of radio announcer/commentator, capitalizing on his storied career on radio as war correspondent during WWII and a radio program announcer. He even performed as fight announcer and/or commentator in three of the Rocky franchise movies: Rocky (1976), Rocky II (1979), and Rocky III (1982). His two other appearances in The Untouchables (1959) include Ring of Terror (1961) and The Nero Rankin Story (1961).
