Quotes

Flint McCullough : It must take a lot of courage for a girl to work her way across the country. Those people she's travelling with, they really make her work for her passage.
Major Seth Adams : Takes more than courage. She's got a sort of blind faith that she's gonna find her mother in San Fransisco, settle all her problems.
Bill Hawks : She might find her. It's not impossible, y'know.
Flint McCullough : ...If this Tannen woman is so successful, it's funny we didn't run into her when we were in San Fransisco last year.
Major Seth Adams : It is. As I recall, you covered that town pretty well, didn't you?

Charlie Wooster : Miss Phoebe make it all right, Major?
Major Seth Adams : Aw, she made it just fine, Charlie.
Charlie Wooster : Good, good.
Major Seth Adams : What are you doing here?
Bill Hawks : Came with him.
Major Seth Adams : What?
Flint McCullough : [He's dressed to the nines in white] He's talking about me, Major.
Major Seth Adams : [Flint does a slow 360 turn, showing off his duds] Well, glory be. Look at that. What am I supposed to do? Crow? And act like I'm happy?
Flint McCullough : Well, it'd be a nice change.
Bill Hawks : Sure'd be friendly of you, you'd miss us.
Major Seth Adams : Now, Major
Major Seth Adams : Just give me the chance.
Flint McCullough : Major, wait a minute. We've had a long tow with the wagons, why don't we take it easy going back? Why don't we, say, take a ship around the Horn?
Major Seth Adams : You know, Flint old boy, that's a great idea. You're dressed beautifully for the Tropics. You'd enjoy it. I think you should take it.
Flint McCullough : And how would you go back?
Major Seth Adams : We're gonna walk.
Flint McCullough : And I'm gonna buy a ticket.
