Ration water and hope for salvation
bkoganbing31 January 2018
The Wagon Train is in unfamiliar country in a desert where some waterholes have dried up. Ward Bond sends Robert Horton out scouting for water and he comes back on foot, raving incoherently.

With Flint McCullough out of action, Major Adams is forced to ration water and hope for salvation. The salvation could be Ray Danton who is traveling west with his wife Mona Freeman. He carries himself like he was in the military, but denies he served to one and all. Claude Akins playing his usual villainous lout says he's a deserter, but he's got an ulterior motive as he is trying to move in on Mona Freeman.

Obviously the Wagon Train is saved because the series kept going, but the answer to Danton's mystery you have to see the episode for. Additional nice performance from John Hoyt as a preacher traveling with the Wagon Train. Some really good performances all around from a cast really convincing that they are dying from heat and dehydration.
