"The Tom Tuckett Story" is a retelling of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations", except that the names have been changed along with the locale. Pip becomes Tuck, Estella is called Elizabeth, and Miss Havisham is now Miss Stevenson. The Convict has become wealthy through fur-trading in Canada (rather than farming in Australia) and is also an acknowledged Friend of All Tribes of Indians.
The main part of this story takes place in 1869. The flashback is in 1854 and it is mentioned that 15 years have passed since then.
Wagon Train Tracker: The train is referenced as being "in Idaho country," either east of Fort Hall on the Oregon Trail or southwest of Fort Hall on the California Trail.
