Regular panelist Arlene Francis had recently returned from the Principality of Monaco where she was Jury President for the 'Monte-Carlo Television Festival'. Originally created by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, this 3rd edition was held between January 8-19, 1963. NBC's TV movie 'Price of Tomatoes (1962)' received a 'special mention' at the event.
Guest Panelist Peter Cook would inaugurate his New York City 'The Establishment' nightclub the following week. Cook's original London comedy club opened in October 1961 and became known for giving the opportunity for promising comedians and satirists to perform new material without censorship. However, both venues would fold after only a few years, with the London 'The Establishment' closing in 1964.
