Julie London is the best part of the episode.

Right at the beginning of this episode, two men, Gus and Steve, take refuge in a shack to avoid the weather with their box of gold they are to delivery. During the night two other men break into the shack and shoot both Gus and Steve and take the gold. Gus dies and Steve makes it to a local doctor where after many months he is back to health. But the doctor informs Steve that the bullet is right against his heart and it will only be a short time before the bullet kills him. Steve heads back to his town, Gold Creek, to live out his short life.

Upon returning, he finds out that the two men that robbed and shot him have been killed in an accident. He also finds out that his woman, Julie, now has eyes for Cole Gentry. In fact it looks like Julie and Cole are set to marry. When Steve is jumped by a man in his bedroom, he knows that someone wants him dead. He guesses it is because he knows who stole the gold.

Perhaps it was just me but the ending was somewhat confusing. Will not give away the climax away but when you watch - 'why was the objects even being transported'? Maybe I missed something but the only reason for the situation was to close the show. That seem to be a dark spot of the show. However the bright spot was the beautiful and talented Julie London. Her looks and her singing voice was a pleasurable part of the program. Otherwise, not much to this story.
