Did you know
- TriviaThe first of twelve titles to not feature An Swartenbroekx (Bieke). Strangely no one mentions where she is. Transfer (1990) ended with her feeling guilty over Pico (Walter Michiels) missing out on a transfer. Bieke retreated to the living room and this was the last time she was seen. She returns in the next title De Ster (1990) taking center stage.
- GoofsAt approximately 7 minutes, Oscar and Pascale are carrying Carmen's washing machine inside the cafe. A boom mic is briefly visible through one of the mirrors.
- Quotes
Dimitri: [Xavier repairs his washing machine as Dimitri's employee, Dimitri believes it's Oscar's] How's it going? It needs to be done before tonight.
Xavier: It's almost done. I know how this works. Same thing back home. But uh, when Oscar comes for it, tell him he can't take a bath in this no more.
Dimitri: You're more useful than I thought.
Xavier: Hidden talents.
Dimitri: [sarcastically] Yeah. You should have come far in the army by now.
Xavier: In the army they don't see talent.
Dimitri: Quit your whining. I have to go.
[as Pico enters the garage, Xavier hides under a trestle]
Pico: Dimitri.
Dimitri: [irritated, in himself then to Pico] Don't get personal. Mister Captain, my customers rise in rank!
Pico: Boma's car radio. He wants it repaired today but I don't have time for that.
Dimitri: [cynically] Sure. Sir has to kick out garage windows, uh?
Pico: I aim when I shoot.
Dimitri: So you do it on purpose?
Pico: Seriously. You're going to help me.
Dimitri: [sarcastically] That's where good friends are for, am I right?
Pico: I'll pay you off the books and Boma can't know about this. It's between us. A little discretion, you know?
Dimitri: [cynically] Discretion is part of the job more and more. Put it on my desk. I'll take care of it.
Pico: Thanks, Dimitri.
Dimitri: Now I have to run to the bank.
Pico: To count your savings?
Dimitri: [offended] Pay bills.
Pico: [Dimitri doesn't close his garage, with Xavier still hiding] Why don't you close your garage?
Dimitri: Honest people like me get protection from up here.
[he points to Heaven, lifting his head]
- Crazy credits"THE ORIGINALS" message appears in a framework at the start of each intro with theme song from De nieuwe truitjes (1990) to Love Story (1993), to honor the titles with Carry Goossens (Oscar) in the lead and Walter Michiels (Pico) co-starring. This has been the case for all re-runs and DVD and Blue-ray releases since the 2010s.
