The British Cromwell tank had an equivalent gun to the standard M4 Sherman tank, and, by the way, was never used in the African or Italian fronts. Given its mobility it should have been the fastest tank in the game.

The Sherman Fireflies were never used in Libya or Tunisia. They joined the war in June 1944 in Normandy and only among British and Commonwealth troops. They were only tested in the U.S. Army.
The Italian armored cruiser San Giorno was already scuttled by the Italian in 1940, before losing Tobruk the first time. The game also represent the ship before its modernization in 1937. The British attack in 1942 would only have saw the half-sunken destroyed cruiser, useless at this point.
The french fortification of Bir Hakeim was not medieval-style rock and brick structure with towers and crenelation. Bir Hakeim was a complex system of mine fields, sandbags, barbed wires, anti-tank obstacles, trenches and dug-in artillery positions.
