A quality episode.

Judge, Justice Sir Humphrey Gwynne who had a strong conservative belief is shot dead in his garden, first on the scene is Flambeau.

The Mirror of The Magistrate is arguably one of the best entries in the series, it's such an interesting story, with some really good points of interest, including that mirror, and the prime suspect. It is very well paced, and features some very good acting.

I liked the political ideas and clashes of ideas, it did feel like a politically motivated murder, truly this was very interesting.

An unusual start here, the characters are really well introduced, we don't even get to see The Good Father until twenty minutes or so in. It truly is an opening few minutes that engages you, and draws you in. Nice production values, maybe being set at Night time made a difference.

It was really nice to see Dennis Burgess back as Flambeau, I felt that he had a better time of things here than in his previous episode, a really nice performance here. The acting in general was very good, leaps and bounds above that from the previous episode.

8/10.
