Skimpy Story, Slick Production
dougdoepke13 December 2013
Excellently crafted entry. The story's kind of skimpy, but then the series strong points are in abundant evidence. A judge is killed and Pete wants to get to the bottom of it. That opening is a real grabber, despite the fact that it doesn't make much sense when you think about it. After all, what would the gunman expect the cops to do. Note, however, the many colorful characters, including a superannuated Delavanti and the blind boxing coach, along with the gentleman's club waiter. All have distinctive touches making them more than just role-fillers. Then too the staging is eye-catching, showing how alert to detail the productions were. Glad they worked in Edie since I was getting tired of all the ugly guys. A super-slick production from a super cool series.
