Richard Kiel (Malak) is one of the more recognizable guest stars in the series. A year later he appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) as the James Bond villain Zbigniew "Jaws" Krycsiwiki, arguably his most famous role.
Malak claims he can make fire with ease, "With flint stone, bow and stick, I can catch lightning." Malak is listing the three main primitive ways of getting fire. Striking a flint stone against another stone makes sparks hot enough to ignite tinder. A fire bow spins a pointy stick against a wood base to start a fire by friction. Lightning routinely starts wild fires; you can capture that fire and keep it fed and alive for years. Archeologists figure that domesticating wild fire was common for hundreds of thousands of years before we learned to use sticks and stones.
With this final season, Enik has inexplicably sided with the Sleestak, in opposition with the Marshalls.
Will claimed that he and his father had searched a couple of times for their gear that had fallen into the swamp next to where their raft had landed on the ground when they first arrived here. Jack jumps into the water in the same spot, and within seconds finds everything they had lost.
