Chet brings home his new hippie friend, Claude, who moves in and criticizes Harry for not caring about the environment, being a capitalist, etc. Harry tries to prove that every so-called hippie is a capitalist by offering him a job at his plant, but Claude ends up leading the workers in a guitar session. Next Harry tries pretending to be a hippie himself, hoping the boys will worry where their next meal is coming from. Ralph overreacts and builds a wall between his house and Harry's, drawing a TV camera crew. A TV sponsor solves Harry's problem when he hears Claude playing his guitar and singing and offers him a contract writing commercial jingles. Chet is disillusioned when his friend becomes a "sell-out".
