The ending of the film was hidden from the entire cast and all but three of the crew. The finale was finally revealed minutes before shooting the scene.
The film was shot in four days.
Won the First Place/Best Picture award in the National Film Board of Canada's "Make Shorts, Not War" film competition. Over 280 films were submitted from all across Canada.
During the combat scene, not a single round of blank ammunition was fired. All gunshot effects (visual and audible) were done in post-production.
The director's cut is 57% longer than the original film.
