If you’re a fan of NBC’s, Grimm, we’ve got a look at some cool key art and an official San Diego Comic-Con 2012 one-sheet. TVLine provided the first look at these two shots, which showcase our Grimm hero, Nick Burkhardt alongside both his legal partner Hank Griffin and monster-slaying accomplice, Eddie Monroe. Who’s that in the background you ask? I’d tell you, but that would mean you missed a damn entertaining season one finale (albeit a tad… cluttered), and it’s time you checked it out (a note to Comcast subscribers, you can currently view it in the Catch Up section of On Demand).

"Grimm" will be back.
The NBC fairytale-inspired cop show has been renewed for a second season, NBC confirmed to Access Hollywood on Friday.
Starring David Giuntoli and Russell Hornsby as detectives Nick Burkardt and Hank Griffin, and Silas Weir-Mitchell as Eddie Monroe (a "blutbat" aka the big, not-so-bad wolf), the show has managed to find an audience on Friday nights at 9/8c on the network.
"This is a cop show and its small twist is that my perpetrators now can often be monsters," David, who plays a descendant of the Brothers Grimm, told Access Hollywood last fall. ...

Grimm 1.06 "The Three Bad Wolves" Review
From the first time he appeared on screen in the pilot, I was transfixed by Grimm's Eddie Monroe, reformed blutbad, cellist, and Vw bug enthusiast. In a procedural like Grimm, sometimes it can be tough to service both character and case, which tends to leave character beats to be sandwiched in between truth, justice, and catching the perp with a couple of minutes to go in the show. In Monroe's case, however, it felt like the show already had a fully formed, interesting character, as his dryly sarcastic humor and knowledge of all things creature-related helped Nick Burkhardt get on his feet after discovering his impressive lineage. Monroe's always been a light in an increasingly dark show, a tone shift I'm in favor of, and despite the occasional exposition dump, he's a generally reliable episode highlight.
Knowing all this, you can imagine how happy...

Creators: Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf.
Cast: Russell Hornsby, David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, and Reggie Lee.
The NBC television series "Grimm" is set to challenge other supernatural heavyweights on Friday night. In one corner is Fox's Fringe and in another is CW's "Supernatural." Just how well Grimm will fare will depend on how much audiences like the cop Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) as he combats the supernatural forces that have integrated into Portland society.
This television series is based off the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and it will put Burkhardt at odds with many creatures from both traditional legends and fictional lore. He's partnered with Hank Griffan (Russell Hornsby), who does not yet know that Burkhardt has the ability to see monsters posing as humans. Maybe he will learn about it in future episodes, but only time will tell.

NBC’s pilot for Grimm aired last night, and while it wasn’t exactly what its unfortunate title might suggest, there’s still some work to be done. The show is like CSI with a case of the heebie-jeebies… Svu if Stabler could see spooks! Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) learned he was descended from the brothers Grimm, could see demons, and was fated to spend the rest of his days hunting the pests. So how did this all play out in episode one?
The series began with an 1812 quotation from the brothers themselves: “The wolf thought to himself,...

"Grimm" will probably not look too great when Friday night's ratings come out, since it aired opposite the deciding game of the World Series. But for those of you who did watch NBC's new monster-tinged crime show Friday (Oct. 28), what did you think?
The show certainly has mood going for it: It's shot on location in Portland, Ore., and the premiere makes good use of a city we don't often see on screen, and its mix of lush green spaces and often gray skies looks great on TV.
(By the way, if you missed/didn't record the "Grimm" pilot on Friday, NBC is re-airing it at 9 p.m. Et Saturday. Syfy will also show it at 7 p.m. Tuesday.)
We're less sold on the storytelling so far -- but hopeful that it can find its footing. The pilot didn't quite seem to know whether to lean more on the crime-story...

When a show tries to balance two seemingly disparate elements and combine them into one unusual new creation, it's hard not to get a little nervous. Creativity and originality is always something to be encouraged, especially as network TV is slowly becoming more adventurous, but when is something creative and unique and when is it jumbled and incoherent? It takes a certain feathery touch from the powers that be to keep a show's highly individualized identity sacred while making sure it's fairly accessible and tells a good, solid story in the process.
After watching the pilot episode of Grimm, the latest creation from frequent collaborators David Greenwalt (Moonlight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jim Kouf (Ghost Whisperer, Angel), I'm still a little unsure if it quite knows how to balance both elements of its identity. Throughout the episode, you're shifted between a fairly commonplace procedural, headed by detectives Nick Burhardt...

Silas Weir Mitchell co-stars on the new series, Grimm, as Eddie Monroe. Monroe is a bludbad -- better known to most of us as the Big Bad Wolf. Considering that Grimm's hero, Nick Burkhardt, doesn't try to take out Monroe, it's safe to assume that he's at least a little bit of a good guy, despite his wolf-y origins.

NBC’s new fantasy/crime series Grimm doesn’t officially air until next Friday, but we got an early look at the pilot episode this week. There has been a fair bit of hype for this Fables-esque show featuring stories that are loosely based on the popular Brother’s Grimm fairytales, with the added mash up of a modern cop/detective drama. Unfortunately it seems like the hype was just a lot of hot air, because Grimm fails to deliver anything new or extraordinary. Being about the one-hundred-millionth cop drama out there they were already shooting themselves in the foot on that front, but it’s actually the fantasy elements that seem overly stale.
Up until the title card (about 10 minutes in) I was actually pretty excited by what I had seen so far; the episode opens with a young college girl going for a morning...
